Animal watercolour artist

I love artwork and appreciate the creative skills of artists. Watercolour is a medium I had great difficulty with during my studies in Fine Arts and this only increased my admiration for those who have mastered this skill. I came across Galen Hazelhofer and her beautiful watercolour paintings and naturally, her ‘Zebra Dreams’ piece grabbed my attention, not only for its composition but use of colour.

Galen loves her animals which is clearly and superbly expressed in her work. She is also an ardent supporter of the plight of elephants and is deeply perturbed by their treatment in circuses and zoos. After seeing the information on her website and the 60 Minutes program I saw recently on TV about an elephant orphanage in Kenya, I have been inspired to dedicate a page on my website called Plight of Elephants to also help spread the word about the abuse of this magnificent creature.

Galen’s website Angel Doggie is definitely worth a look as her artwork is simply delightful.
