Sand sculpture

Back to ground level in artistic terms and this time, instead of artwork in dust, it is artwork created in sand. I have no idea who the artists are and my apologies for not acknowledging you.
I love sculpture of all types and media, whether modern, more classical or somewhere in between. Sculpture has always intrigued me and I am particularly fascinated with marble or stone sculptures where the material is chipped away to create the finished piece. It amazes me how a sculptor can visualise the design within that chosen material and chip away to reveal the shape underneath that he or she sees in his or her mind’s eye. The most famous example of this is the Italian sculptor, Michelangelo.
Sculpture is an interactive art as you can walk around them and view them from different angles.
The detail in these sand sculptures is outstanding. It must be quite an awesome experience viewing the sculptures in real life as they already look out of this world in the photos.
